The fairy-tale landscape around Hotel Central will whisk you away into the majestic alpine world with its winter hiking paths, snowshoe trails, and ski touring routes. With cross-country skiing, you can get up close and personal with nature. And what would winter be without a fun toboggan ride? On the numerous toboggan runs in the surroundings, you can dash down the mountain with your sled. If you are lucky enough to be visiting us during a winter full moon, you can enjoy the white Alpine landscape in the glow of the moon and twinkling stars!
Ice Skating
Is there anyone who doesn't enjoy gliding across the ice in wintertime, every now and then throwing in a trick move or two? Ice skating is one of those "musts" of any winter, whether you are here with friends or family. In Fügen, you have two opportunities to go ice skating: First, there is a man-made rink next to the spa resort; measuring 60 x 30 meters, it seems really, really big. On Friday evening they also host an "Ice Disco". Your other option is a natural ice rink in Kleinboden, where you can also try your hand at the traditional sport of "ice stock".
Sledding
If you visit Fügen in winter, it's almost impossible to avoid a trip to the Goglhof on the Fügenberg: here you will find the region's very best toboggan run. Let's take a second to whet your appetite with one or two facts: it's 3.5 km long, has snowmaking capability guaranteeing optimal sledding conditions, and is floodlit from top to bottom. Pure sledding excitement is also promised by a 1.5 km-long toboggan run in Hochfügen, as well as a 3,000 m hill on the Kupfnerberg in Uderns.
