By Car

From Germany, take the A12 toward Innsbruck; from Switzerland, take the A12 from Landeck. Take the Zillertal exit near Wiesing; we’re about 9 km away. On alternate Saturdays during the vacation season, we recommend traveling via the A12, as traffic is regulated at the Achen Pass on those days. For Austrian highways, you’ll need a vignette, which you can also purchase digitally.

By Train

Long-distance trains stop in Jenbach, about 12 km from Fügen. From there, the Zillertalbahn will take you to Fügen in just a few minutes; it’s about a 5-minute walk from the train station to our location. Tip: Your booking confirmation serves as your ticket for free travel by train and bus operated by Zillertaler Verkehrsbetriebe between Jenbach and Fügen.

The nearest airports are Innsbruck (about 50 km) and Munich (about 170 km). From there, continue by train, station shuttle, or taxi.

Getting Around Locally

You can get around easily in the Zillertal even without a car. The free ski and hiking bus stops right at the house, and the Zillertalbahn and buses connect all the towns in the valley.
